2018 different dimensions, own technique of shaping porcelain I am inspired by 3D printing and combining it with traditional and manual production. Instead of using 3D printer I developed my own technique to manually create similar texture as 3D printer creates. The point is to show the importance of human element and abilities in this time of technology. This work is a reaction to 3D printing, which is everywhere these days. It is about the connection between the modern and the traditional. I use my own manual technique of porcelain manufacturing imitating 3D printing, which allows all the imperfections to show - unlike in machine production. Work is reference to handcraft, tradition, and also to how important it is to have human element in porcelain manufacturing. The decor is based on original Czech bobbin lace patterns.
