Cena BKV pro mladé umění a řemesla vyznamenává práci, která ukazuje vynikající umělecký design na základě kvalitního řemeslného zpracování. Oceněná díla budou doplněna výběrem dalších soutěžních prací, představených širokému publiku na výstavě v Galerii užitého umění a příští rok na Mezinárodním veletrhu řemesel v Mnichově.
Cena BKV 2021 pro mladé užité umění Rada bavorských řemesel (Bayerischer Kunstgewerbeverein nebo BKV), založená v roce 1851, se ohlíží za 160 lety historie. Dnes je to profesní sdružení na podporu současných řemesel s přibližně 450 členy. Nachází se v centru Mnichova, BKV udržuje fórum pro ARTS + CRAFTS, které se skládá z „Galerie užitého umění“ (Galerie für Angewandte Kunst) a prostorného obchodu se širokou škálou současných uměleckých děl. Rada bavorských řemesel se rovněž účastní řady veletrhů. // The BKV price for the Jungle Kunsthandwerk shows the work that is shown on the basis of the basic quality of the basic artistic design. The award-winning works will be complemented by a selection of further competition works, presented to a wide audience in an exhibition in the Gallery for Applied Art and next year at the International Crafts Fair in Munich. Talente je soutěž pro mladé umělce v oblasti designu a technologií. Koná se každoročně jako speciální přehlídka Mezinárodního veletrhu řemesel Mnichov na mnichovském výstavišti. Speciální přehlídka má dát mladým lidem příležitost představit nové, inovativní nápady veřejnému publiku.
Od roku 1979 organizátoři spolupracují s řemeslnými vzdělávacími institucemi, akademiemi, univerzitami a řemeslnými organizacemi po celém světě, kteří pro přihlášku navrhují to nejlepší ve své zemi. Globální síť zaručuje jedinečný pohled na trendy a problémy, které jsou oblíbené u mladých lidí v oblasti umění, řemesel a technologií. Tímto způsobem mohou návštěvníci sledovat proudy ve vzduchu a seznámit se s další generací designérů. Mnoho mladých vystavovatelů cestuje na veletrh, aby využili příležitosti k výměně nápadů. Soutěž je pro ně často začátkem umělecké kariéry. // Talente is a competition for newcomers in design and technology. It takes place annually as a special show of the International Crafts Fair Munich on the new Munich exhibition center. The special show is intended to give young people the opportunity to present new, innovative ideas to a public audience. Since 1979 the organizers have been working with craft training institutions, academies, universities and handicraft organizations all over the world, who propose the best in their country for application. The global network guarantees a unique view of trends and issues that are popular with young people in arts and crafts and technology. In this way, visitors can trace the currents in the air and familiarize themselves with the next generation of designers. Many of the young exhibitors travel to the fair to take the opportunity to exchange ideas. For them, the competition is often the beginning of an artistic career.

Je tetování jednou z uměleckých forem? Můžeme na tetování nahlížet jako na další uměleckou disciplínu po boku fotografie, sochařství a malířství? Výstava o současném českém tetování je zamyšlením nad tím, zda můžeme tetování vnímat jako jeden ze způsobů uměleckého projevu.
Výstava představí pět poloh českých současných umělců a umělkyň, kteří jsou nejen úspěšní tatéři a tatérky, ale prosazují se také na poli současného výtvarného umění. Tetování je pro ně totiž jen jedním ze způsobů uměleckého vyjádření. Netradiční fenomén sametové revoluce, který nám umožňuje pracovat s tělem jako médiem svobodného projevu. Prezentovaní umělci nevytváří motivy, které si může zákazník vybrat z katalogu v recepci taterského salónu, jak bylo kdysi běžné, ale navrhují unikátní díla, která obsahují stylové prvky přítomné v tvorbě mimo tetování. Řemeslné aspekty tetování ovlivňují výrazové prostředky umělců a umělkyň v překvapivých souvislostech. Nejen tetovací barvy pronikají na plátna, ale i stopy charakteristické pro tetovací strojky jsou replikovány i mimo tetovací křeslo.

Is tattoo one of the art forms? Can we think of tattoos as another art discipline alongside photography, sculpture, and painting? The exhibition on contemporary Czech tattoos is a reflection on whether we can perceive tattoos as one of the ways of artistic expression.
The exhibition will present five positions of contemporary Czech artists who are not only successful tattoo artists, but are also successful in the field of contemporary fine art. For them, tattooing is just one way of expressing art. An unconventional phenomenon of the Velvet Revolution, which allows us to work with the body as a medium of free expression. Presented artists do not create motifs that the customer can choose from the catalogue at the reception of the tattoo salon, as was once common, but they design unique works that contain stylish elements present in the creation outside the tattoo. The craft aspects of tattoos affect the means of expression of artists in a surprising context. Not only tattoo colors penetrate the canvas, but also the traces characteristic of tattoo machines are replicated outside the tattoo chair.

On the occasion of the centenary of the Ceramics and Porcelain Studio of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, under the leadership of Maxim Velčovský, Milan Pekař and curator Martin Vaněk, students prepared an exhibition of their works responding to his history. The exhibition will run until 27 July.
“The centenary always invites a balance sheet of past events and activities of individual actors. At the same time, the anniversary of such anniversaries is more than ever a time of meeting the past, present and future. We decided to go through the reflection of the most important creative practices that have been promoted by individual studio leaders throughout the century. It is a journey that has its own strong informative value inherent in current reading and interpretation of the artistic expression of its predecessors, ”says curator Martin Vaněk of the overall concept of the exhibition. U příležitosti stoletého výročí Ateliéru keramiky a porcelánu UMPRUM připravili studenti pod vedením pedagogů Maxima Velčovského, Milana Pekaře a kurátora Martina Vaňka výstavu svých děl reagujících na jeho historii. Výstava potrvá do 27. července. „Stoleté výročí vždy vybízí k bilanci uplynulých událostí a činnosti jednotlivých aktérů. Doba, kdy se taková výročí slaví, je zároveň více než kdy jindy obdobím setkávání minulosti, přítomnosti i budoucnosti. Rozhodli jsme se jít cestou reflexe nejdůležitějších tvůrčích postupů, které prosazovali jednotliví vedoucí ateliéru v průběhu celého století. Je to cesta, která má svou vlastní silnou výpovědní hodnotu tkvící v aktuálním čtení a interpretaci uměleckého vyjádření předchůdců,“ říká k celkové koncepci výstavy její kurátor Martin Vaněk. Na základě těchto podnětů vznikla drobná soška medvěda, tak typického cirkusového zvířete pro jeden z náš nejznámější cirkus. Stane se soška pouhou připomínkou pro budoucí generace na jednu z našich tradic?

Based on these impuls, I created a small statuette of a bear, a typical circus animal for one of our most famous circus.
